This is what makes it all worthwhile…

Just a quickie- this email from a client today made me slightly emotional, I’m so pleased I can provide a service that brings people happiness! Knowing that I’ve done something so personal and they love it is the best feeling ever!

Born in a barn!

My Wilson was a sheep today in his first ever nativity- called born in a barn! He was brilliant I am
Such a proud mummy!

‘Tis the season to be jolly!

Once again I am guilty of a little blog negelct- I have been (as usual) super busy with 600 (approx) cupcakes, 521 of which were all for one order!!!!!!!!!!!! and lots and lots of christmasey type design/print/making shenanagins!

Personalised letters to santa are available from December 1st – a lovely glittered totally personal letter from “Santa” individually altered to include names, present requests and what needs to be done to stay on my Santa’s nice list this year! These are being posted for authenticity with an addressed festive sticker and wrapped in some lovely gingham ribbon for that extra special touch. Or alternatively rolled and tied with a bow as scrolls- depending on your preference!

Also under way are last years big hit personalised baubles – gorgeous cream ceramic baubles with a choice of ribbon (including merry christmas and ginghams) to suit any colour theme required! They are flying out so I just hope I can get some more blanks to avoid any disappointments!

Christmas cards are well under way and doing really well. I’m pleased I’ve edited last years designs as I feel they work so much better this year with a newer fresher overall look!

Next week i’ll be attending a festive fancy cupcake course to learn some christmas styling and making techniques to make my cakes even better and definatley more festive! Good job really as i am now fully booked for cake orders between now and christmas! Never ever thought I’d be saying that (never mind typing it for all to see!)

All in all I will be jingling all the way to christmas now with the amount of things I’ve got on! Only 26 sleeps!!!

Sleep is for the weak…

…and I am definately weak! And could happily snooze a week away at the moment! I shouldn’t complain, being busy is a good thing and I am certainly busy right now!

Lots of cakey- related design work going on; stationary, bespoke tags, stickers, logos and business cards to keep me out of mischief! Makes a nice change from wedding stationary but there’s still plenty of that to be getting on with!

And I’ve just booked Wilson’s 4th birthday superhero party bonanza. I swear it’s going to be bigger than our wedding and by the looks of things it’s going to cost more too! Good job I don’t have to worry about his cakes or invitations, they’re both being carefully planned already!

Also I found it very bizarre that I has 2 engagement cards to post to 2 separate customers/friends and the happy couples were ‘Sara & Craig’ and ‘Sarah & Craig’!!!! Must be the week for Craigs to propose to their potential finacees!

I wonder if there’s a statistic for that, now there’s something to research before bed…

Finally, after months of preparation the big day for Laura & Damien arrived! I actually think Laura was the most
Laid back bride ever- just to make it even harder for me! I think I would have preferred a bridezilla! Anyway, all stress aside the day went perfectly and was lovely- as was the stationary
Not your average seating plan with 10 guest tables and a top table and the most multiple names I’ve ever produced but that’s what I love about doing what I do! All in all a lovely day was had by everyone there!

AND I came across the best toilet sign ever…

As usual I’ve been super busy with everything other than updating my blog which I really need to sort out since business is certainly booming at the moment (no complaints there) however in my defence I did suffer a severe amputation last week… Before you pass out all my limbs are in tact and attached to my body but sadly the same can’t be said for my iPhone 4. Someone somewhere (in the fairield area) is rubbing their hands together with glee having found my beautiful White iPhone complete with leather sleeve and Cath Kidston cover.
I’ll swiftly move on, whilst on my shiney new iPhone 4 (allbeit minus Cath floral-ness) so I’m limited to the pics I can share- that will teach me to not back up regularly! I’ve been perfecting some piping techniques for my cupcakes along with designing some birth announcements for my besties gorgeous new baby daughter and cracking on with some exciting new products available in my wedding stationary range!
Roses have been a reoccurring theme, I’d show you some photos straight from my phone but according to the wordpress app they have a “bad pass/login combination” even though I’ve reentered my password at least a million times now and I’ve managed to login to my wordpress account online using the apparent bad pass/login combo. WordPress – sort it out! I can hear blogspot calling me name the stress you’re causing me right now!

I will upload them, when I’ve got round to importing everything onto my mac from my phone since the convenience of the iphone app is just not convenient enough at the moment. Grrrrrr.
